WHEN YOU VISIT
What Can You Expect to See at Victor Valley Bible Church

We would be delighted to have you worship with us, but we also know how difficult it can be when one searches the array of churches available in Victor Valley. Which to choose? There are several evangelical ministries in the area and we regard them as our fellow workers in God’s field. Nonetheless, each believer must find their place in the body of Christ where they can serve and grow. This is our prayer for you and we are here to assist you as God so leads. Below are some notable expectations for worshipping with us on any given Sunday morning.

Sunday School for Children (ages 3-13). Lead by our pastor’s wife, she and other engaging women love children and express this by their attention to God’s word.

Sunday School for Adults (ages 14-99). Taught by church elders, the adult class is devoted to systematically expounding the Bible and its profound theology.

Vibrant Singing. Our congregation sings the historic hymns of the Christian church as well as Scripture verse songs. We use hymnals and even provide lessons in reading and singing music. On occasions we put words to well-known songs on the screen, such as during our monthly communion service or when a special song is not found in our Celebration Hymnal. Solo or ensemble music graces our weekly services as well.

Male Leadership. As a part of our morning service one of the men in the church reads a chapter of the Bible and prays accordingly for the congregation.

Scripture Memory. Each week we are encouraged to memorize a verse or more of Scripture. The selection is often connected to the morning sermon. During the summer we memorize a large portion of God’s word, such as a chapter of the Bible.

Children Participation. Worshippers of all ages learn and participate in the service. Nursery care is available during our 10:15 AM service. However, many of our young families prefer to worship and study the Bible while their children sit with them in church.

Offering. A collection is taken up each Sunday morning, which monies go to the support of the ministry. Special collections include a benevolence offering taken each first Sunday and a mission offering on the third Sunday of each month. These are respectively given to members of our congregation in need and to our missionaries.

Bible Exposition. For roughly one hour, our pastor teaches a paragraph or more of Scripture, making our way through one book of the Bible at a time. Our people prefer sermons that require them to sit, ponder the things of the Lord, take notes, and share in the study of God’s word as a significant act of worship. Sermons typically conclude with several points of personal application to belief and living.

A Loving and Welcoming Family of God. As an important part of our worship service, we greet one another. Our first-time visitors are recognized and attempts are made to make them feel at home with us.

If these are the kinds of things for which you are seeking, we believe you may have a place wherein you and your family can grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We invite you to worship the Lord with us!
